For learning Tao (  ), who are always want be succeeded have to prepare strong construction, which is very hard to bid. Besides our natural side as human being such as perfect body (not handicap) and healthy mind (not mentally retarded), still there are another basis as important as mentioned before which are confidence in you and in god.The issues are every time the confidence getting stronger to god the result is far from control and silly things would happened. Ex: too much confidence will make somebody jump from the cliff and the things that in their mind are god will help them. So, what's the "Trust" all about? At least it initially based from a reasonable framework. Trust in yourself Trust in yourself (confidence) is a strong power from your mind that are believed in his ability and condition. Generally, confidence will affect mostly in condition and mind of people. In every day life, some cases indicate that confidence level has the main role in deciding someone's entire life. People with more confidence seem to dare in solving their problems comparing who are not. Of course, this part never be created on itself, there some general factors which influence someone's confidence level such as:
Even though, the factor are not in the first place; 'cause the best essence in life are only "Truth" (pure reasonable truth / processed Wu). Trust in god As a religion person, weave our confidence and faith in Lord (in gods and goddess' for Tao). In Tao, our faith based on reasonable mind, to avoid silly faith and pull us away into darkness. Afterwards, the faith process will grow and grow until the unity of truth was created. To make our self even closer to the god and to develop strong morality bounds inside us. All of this is source from "The Pure Truth" in the highest level of Tao. Between Trust in yourself and trust in god Measurement of confidence is uncountable and flexible so it can not be measured in detail. But generally, someone's confidence can be categorized; usually as a comparison between general reality view and subjective view to get what he wished for, such as: Optimism Is a quite high self-confidence, stands on what you believe that the environment and his ability are still under control to find what he wished for. Optimistic is the person with positive forwarding view and usually can manage to defense his assumption, that there's always a way out to every problem. Being Optimistic is always trigger the spirit of life to be more active, dynamic and daring and also can stand forward or just stand to fight. Pessimism Is a condition which opposite optimism, where as the self confidence is too low and accumulating with environment stress and hard competition, which has been always an obstacles to achieve what you are wish for and even bury the confidence and spirit. Pessimism is always a passive, weak mind, doubtful and quite depending to someone else. According to free optimistic spirit, optimism is a good and healthy style. But being Optimistic to every aspect without any border will drag us to a random confidence and will create much trouble in practice. Which are can be shown as follow:
Conclusion As a Taoist, in spending our time as human being, we always got led and directed by god to find the truth. Confidence, motivation, reality understanding and how to attitude are the fruit of our intuitive consciousness, this intuitive came from the ability and thinking pattern, accumulation of experience and environment sensitivity. Trust in yourself and Trust in god is way too different and important. If you can manage to have them both will make you looked silly if its not followed by deep understanding. Between trust in you and trust in God is unbreakable bound. Both of them are abstract and came from a process that makes us too difficult to control them directly. Another way to take us close to them is our attitude in daily lives. Sportive To keep in track what I have been mentioning above, it's clear that we all must have thick confidence and trust in Gods. Both are unbreakable unity and always in the right track and direction. Without them, it can lead to the wrong way. In mind, there's sometime that we arguing which one is more important. Actually both of them can not be measure. What's the measurement? More over which one is more important. It's obvious that both of them are not separable. In daily lives, problem solution is depends on what the context is. With above-mentioned framework, it's cleared that for personal matters and in the scope of our concern that's why our knowledge about ourselves is the key to make decisions. Those things happened in a snap and not that we are not believing in god. Vice versa, for unreachable matter (Ex: future), our trust in ourselves has to be build through ourselves which is came from god. To get all of them, there is an attitude that is fit enough to be placed as the part in every process, which is sportive. Being a sportive will expressed some strong and diligent manner to go forward which is positive, honest & fair, humble, fairness, big heart and togetherness/ friendship, etc. Confidence mixed with Trust in God (sincerity and dedicated) followed by sportive in mental and attitude will create positive charisma from inside ourselves. This sportive manner will be very useful if we want to have the right and solid confidence and trust in god. |
